Mobile Heavy Equipment MechanicThe Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the operation of the company's service truck and crane to repair equipment on job-sites. This role also inspects, services, and maintains vehicles and equipment in the shop.Essential duties and responsibilities:Responsible for the service and repair of heavy equipment as well as fleet trucks, light equipment and toolsDiagnoses faults using computerized testing equipmentAdjusts equipment and replaces faulty partsPerforms major repair work when necessaryReports damaged or faulty equipment to managementDrives to job sites to make repairs on siteMaintains detailed records of service vehiclesEnsures shop is clean and organizedOwns and maintains a master mechanic set of toolsPerforms related duties as assignedMaintains compliance with all company policies and proceduresEducation, Skills and/or Work Experience Requirements:Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipmentAbility to operate service truck with craneFabrication & welding skills requiredAbility to work independently, utilize good judgement and make decisionsCDL preferredState Inspection license preferredExperience with paving equipment preferredBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceVision insuranceCompany paid Short- & Long-Term Disability InsurancePhysical Requirements:Ability to travel 50% and make repairs at job siteAbility to withstand all weather conditionsAvailable to be on-call for emergency repairsPhysically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
